jQuery Essentials Presentation at MinneWebCon

Category: JavaScript & jQuery Tags: jQuery, Conference | Written on Apr 07, 2009

At the University of Minnesota's web conference, MinneWebCon I gave a talk on, "jQuery Essentials" and it seemed well-received. I enjoyed giving the presentation and I particularly enjoyed it because I finally was able to present in my home state of Minnesota!

Enjoy the slides! Keep it real, y'all.

Awesome presentation.

It shows all the power of jQuery.
If anyone ask me "what's jQuery ?", he will have the right to see this slideshow.

Thanks a lot for this work.

Thanks for these slides, Marc. You've done an excellent job and they've been incredibly valuable to me as I'm learning jQuery.

. Using jQuery you can add more sugar in your web pages by writing a few lines of code. You can manage different resources at a single place, for example you may never need frequent use of “Flash” while working with jQuery. It means it works as an essential tool at multiple places while designing and developing web page.

I have been looking for a "summary" of all jQuery features and power. Fortunately it did not take me too long to find your presentation on this web site.

I just want to say a big THANK YOU for your amazing work !!!

Peace!

I just have to thank you for this presentation. What really helped me was how you translated each example into an English sentence. I feel like the light bulb has flipped on and I can now look at jQuery and understand what it is doing!!! thanks thanks thanks!

I started to work with some jQuery a few days ago, when I was creating a contact formular. So with these slices I improved quite a bit.

Your presentation is a great tutorial! Keep it up! I'm obviously not the only one who thinks so, but I wanted to praise it as well...

Amazing slideshow, I know exactly what that bunch of code now means -I don't have to manage how things work now I know them.

Awesome, thanks.
